  3.                 WHAT'S NEW IN WPTOOLS VERSION 5.1?

  5. Two changes are common to several programs.  They are described here 
  6. and briefly referred to in the discussion of individual programs.
  7.  
  8.                  (a)  Trapping of encrypted files.  Rather than crashing 
  9.                  when a password protected WP5 document is encountered, 
  10.                  the programs now gracefully skip over them. 
  11.                  
  12.                  (b)  Read-only input files are now less likely to 
  13.                  cause problems.

  16. COMMENTS 2.0 --  (a)  Allows wildcard input specification.

  107. WP5LOOK  4.0 --  This program has been substantially rewritten.  Many 
  108.                  of the changes will not be obvious to users.  The 
  109.                  following changes are more obvious.
  110.                  (a)  Optionally does not reformat paragraphs to fit 
  111.                  screen width, instead permitting lines of over 250 
  112.                  characters, with the screen manually scrolled 
  113.                  horizontally to permit viewing.
  114.                  (b)  Invoking program without filespec on command line 
  115.                  produces prompt for filespec, optional pick list if 
  116.                  filespec has wildcards.  Help now available through 
  117.                  command line parameter rather than absence of filespec 
  118.                  on command line.
  119.                  (c)  /M command line parameter to force mono display, 
  120.                  thus overriding default color selection.
  121.                  (d)  /W command line parameter, same function as W 
  122.                  key.
  123.                  (e)  Optional configuration file for command line 
  124.                  parameters.
  125.                  (f)  Additional filespec may be inserted while 
  126.                  processing other filespecs.  Inserted filespec is 
  127.                  processed before pending filespecs.
  128.                  (g)  Bug involving reported page numbers fixed.
  129.                  (h)  Encrypted and read-only fixes.
  130.                  (i)  Bug that sometimes resulted in displaying, as the 
  131.                  first thing in a file, a word from the previous file.
  132.                  (j)  Now displays non-WP5 files, using a different 
  133.                  display and command structure.
  134.                  (k)  /P command line parameter to force use of pick 
  135.                  lists, P command to invoke pick lists of /P not used.

  142. ENDFOOT     --   Fixed bug that caused rare premature termination of
  143.                  file processing.
  144.  
  145. FONTFILE    --   (a)  Eliminated limit on size of "font string pool"
  146.                  that can be processed, so huge lists of fonts can now
  147.                  be processed.
  148.  
  149.                  (b)  Fixed incorrect redirection of output header to
  150.                  output file, so output can once again be used as input
  151.                  to DISKFONT.

  153. STYLEUSE    --   (a)  Improved handling of outline styles.
  154.  
  155.                  (b)  Fixed bug in processing multiple input files.
  156.  
  157.                  (c)  Rewrote deletion of styles from body of document
  158.                  to eliminate bugs and handle properly styles in

  160.                  marking.
